A neomycin selection cassette replaced a genomic fragment containing 585 bp of the promoter and exons 1-4. Northern blot analysis on RNA derived from various tissues of homozygous mice demonstrated that no detectable transcript was produced from this allele. However, a transcript has been reported from sequence downstream from exon 4. (J:25511, J:53925)
