A genomic fragment containing the coding sequences for most of the ankyrin repeat-encoding exons was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. Northern blot analysis on RNA derived from various tissues of homozygous mice demonstrated that no detectable transcript was produced from this allele. (J:39747)
