A 4.0 kb genomic fragment spanning exons 3 - 6 was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette inserted in reverse transcriptional orientation to the gene. Northern blot analysis of mRNA derived from kidneys of homozygous mice demonstrated that no detectable transcript is produced from this allele. (J:55952)
