A 4.0 kb genomic fragment containing exon 1 was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. These sequences encode the first 140 amino acids of the corresponding protein. RT-PCR analysis demonstrated that no detectable transcript was produced from this allele in neutrophils derived from homozygous mice (data not shown). (J:52127)
