A genomic fragment containing exon 2 and all of the coding sequence of exon 3 was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette inserted in reverse trancriptional orientation to the gene. Western blot analysis on embryonic fibroblast lysates derived from homozygous mice demonstrated that no detectable protein is produced from this allele. (J:67297)
