A neomycin selection cassette was inserted into exon 2, into sequences encoding the amino terminal V-like domain. Northern blot analysis demonstrated that no stable transcript was produced from this allele. Immunocytochemistry analysis demonstrated that no functional protein was present on the surface of lymphocytes. (J:3149)
