A random transgene insertional event resulted in the deletion of approximately 2.7kb at the transgene insertion site in an intron of the gene, but no exons were deleted. Northern blot analysis revealed that expression of a 3.2 and 7.0kb transcript was abolished in RNA from all tissues derived from homozygous mice. The allele is hypomorphic. (J:18508)
