Gene trap vector pGT1.8TM was inserted into the gene. The fusion protein conatins the first 1091 amino acids of the locus, including the entire short arm and the first 63 amino acids of its helical domain II followed by the transmembrane domain and Betageo from the vector. Betagal expression was detected in neurons of many regions, including the cerebral cortex and hippocampal formation. (J:85792)
