A 4kb genomic fragment containing sequences encoding the bHLH-Zip domains was replaced by a neomycin resistance cassette in the opposite transcriptional orientation. RT-PCR analysis indicated that a truncated transcript is produced from this allele, but no active protein is predicted to be produced. (J:50513)
