In-frame insertion of a LacZ-neomycin resistance cassette replaced the complete open reading frame and both introns of the gene. RT-PCR and in situ hybridization studies indicate that expression of the LacZ marker replaced endogenous gene expression in homozygous mutant embryos and adult male mice. (J:71578)
