A neomycin resistance cassette was inserted into exon 2. Northern blot analysis demonstrated that no transcript was detectable in sternum, heart, liver or kidney of homozygous mice. Immunoblot analysis on extracts of tail tissue revealed that no expressed protein was detectable in homozygous mice. (J:39212)
