Insertion of a PGK-neomycin resistance cassette in reverse transcriptional orientation created a premature termination codon corresponding to codon 571 ahead of the microtubule binding domain. Immunohistochemical studies of heterozygous mutant mice revealed significant changes in protein expression in several parts of the brain, suggesting that this is a null allele. (J:31721)
