A genomic fragment containing exons 2 and 3 was replaced with a vector containing a neomycin selection cassette by homologous recombination. Immunoprecipitation and western blotting experiments on cell lysates derived from homozygous mice confirmed that no detectable protein was made from this allele. (J:51424)
