The gene trap integration event occurred in an intron of the netrin 1 gene. Integration of the vector resulted in the production of a transcript that included sequences from the 5' end of the gene fused to the vector sequences. Two translation products were produced from this allele: an N-terminal truncated form of the protein including the signal peptide and domains V1 and an IRES driving expression of beta-geo. (J:57002)
