These mice contain an Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein (EGFP) gene inserted into the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus. Expression of the EGFP gene is blocked by a loxP-flanked STOP fragment placed between the EGFP sequence and the Gt(ROSA)26Sor promoter. This strain serves as a reporter strain, with successful Cre excision being indicated by EGFP expression in Cre-expressing tissues. (J:66742)
