A neomycin resistance cassette replaced 4 kb of sequence encoding the first transmembrane domain and a conserved serine. Northern blot analyses of homozygous mutant mice did not detect any transcripts in macrophages, adrenal glands, ovaries and testes. Western blot analyses of macrophages, adrenal glands, ovaries, and testes did not detect the protein in homozygous mutant mice. (J:63468)
