Insertion of loxP sites flanking exon K2, encoding sequences in the kinase domain of the protein. An adjacent frt-flanked neomycin cassette was removed by crossing to transgenic mice expressing the Flp recombinase. This mutation had no effect on the normal function of the gene. (J:58229)
