A neomycin resistance cassette replaced exon 1 of the Lnfg gene, including the translational start site, the signal sequence, and a putative processing site. The authors predict the mutant allele would be a null mutation, and report that Lnfg mRNA is not detected in homozygous mutant embryos. (J:48859)
