A lacZ-neomycin resistance cassette was inserted in-frame into exon 3b and placed lacZ under control of the endogenous promoter. RT-PCR studies of homozygous E10.5 embryos showed that trancripts lacking the sequences encoding the functional domains were produced from this allele. (J:29958)
