A 350-bp fragment encoding part of intron IV and exon V was replaced with a neomycin cassette. A novel mRNA was detected in homozgyote thymocytes at 15% of the wild-type mRNA level. This mutant mRNA contains a splice variant of exon 4 to exon 6. This allele is considered a hypomorph. (J:23255)
