Insertion of a neomycin cassette into exon K2, which encodes part of the kinase domain of the protein. An alternatively spliced mRNA was detectable in an RNase protection analysis on tissues derived from homozygous mutant mice; these transcripts spliced from exon K1 to K3. A partial protein product is predicted to be expressed from this allele. (J:17195)
