A neomycin resistance cassette replaced a portion of exon 2, all of exon 3, and a portion of exon 4 of the gene. Southern blots confirmed absence of both wild-type alleles in homozygous mutant mice. RT-PCR of Con A-stimulated splenocytes from homozygous mutant mice showed no detectable mRNA for the targeted gene. (J:28061)
