Sequence encoding hamster adrenergic receptor alpha 1b (ADRA1B), containing 3 missense mutations (R288K, K290H, A293L) to make it constitutively active, was adjoined to the mouse myosin, heavy polypeptide 6, cardiac muscle, alpha (Myh6) promoter. Cardiac-specific expression of the mutant ADRA1B was indicated by radio ligand binding assay to be approximately 3-fold higher than that of the endogenous Adra1b. In addition to line 7 (CAM7), lines 21 (CAM21) and 56 (CAM56) were also generated. They also overexpress by approximately 3-fold. (J:82721)
