A neomycin selection cassette replaced a genomic fragment containing exon 2. Northern blot analysis on RNA derived from heart of homozygous mice demonstrated that no detectable transcript was produced from this allele. Western blot analysis on extracts derived from heart tissue confirmed that no stable protein was made from this allele. (J:38213)
