The sequences encoding the wild-type protein were replaced with sequences that encoded a truncated form lacking the most carboxy-terminal 34 amino acid residues of the cytoplasmic domain, while retaining an in-frame stop codon. Immunohistochemistry and radioimmunoassay experiments confirmed that the mutant protein was expressed in a similar temporal and spatial manner to the normal protein. (J:54997)
