Insertion of an frt-flanked neomycin cassette into intron 1 and loxP sites flanking exons 2 and 3. In homozygous embryos, both wild-type and aberrantly spliced mRNAs are produced. Less than 45% of the normal levels of wild-type mRNA is produced from this allele. This allele behaves as a hypomorphic allele. (J:45909)
