PCR analysis of various junction regions indicates that this revertant allele is the result of a recombinational event in the mutant, tandemly duplicated gene and comprises sequences from the 5' end of the upstream gene and the 3' end of the downstream gene. The result is an intact Mbp gene. (J:1873)
