A ROSA Beta-gal provirus inserted into intron 2, 134 bp upstream of exon 3. RT-PCR analysis demonstrated that the transcript was absent in brain, salivary gland and testis of homozygous mice. Western blot analysis demonstrated an absence of the protein in brain and testes of homozygous mice. (J:46386)
