Insertion of a PGK-neomycin resistance cassette into exon 19 disrupted the Rb1 gene. The authors predict that the Rb1 reading frame would be truncated upstream of the coding sequence for T-antigen binding domain number 2, and that therefore any gene product will be non functional. (J:2498)
