Jarid2^jumonji

The jumonji mutation was identified as a gene trap vector insertion into a novel gene. The transcript from this mutant allele contains a fusion of the trapped gene's coding region through codon 15 to the neomycin selection gene of the trap vector. The trap vector also contained an IRES-lacZ gene, resulting in beta-galactosidase expression under the control of the endogenous promoter. (J:25641)
