Cep41 - centrosomal protein 41

This gene encodes a centrosomal protein which may be required for tubulin glutamylation in cilia during ciliogenesis. Mutations in a similar gene in human have been associated with Joubert Syndrome 15, an autosomal recessive ciliopathy and neurological disorder.
