Involved in several processes, including negative regulation of transcription, DNA-templated; response to cAMP; and retina development in camera-type eye. Located in nucleus. Used to study type 2 diabetes mellitus. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in diabetic ketoacidosis; maturity-onset diabetes of the young type 9; type 1 diabetes mellitus; and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
