Enables fibronectin binding activity and peptidase activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to estradiol stimulus; circulatory system development; and reproductive structure development. Located in cytoplasm and extracellular space. Used to study artery disease (multiple); conjunctivitis; and transient cerebral ischemia. Biomarker of several diseases, including acute necrotizing pancreatitis; artery disease (multiple); bile duct disease (multiple); brain ischemia (multiple); and liver cirrhosis (multiple). Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in artery disease (multiple); eye disease (multiple); pseudoxanthoma elasticum; and temporal arteritis.
