Stxbp5 - syntaxin binding protein 5

Enables syntaxin-1 binding activity. Involved in synaptic vesicle cycle. Is active in several cellular components, including Schaffer collateral - CA1 synapse; presynaptic cytosol; and synaptic vesicle. Is extrinsic component of presynaptic membrane.
