Acts upstream of or within several processes, including determination of heart left/right asymmetry; epithelial cilium movement involved in extracellular fluid movement; and flagellated sperm motility. Located in centriole and ciliary basal body. Is expressed in node and trachea. Used to study Kartagener syndrome and primary ciliary dyskinesia 30.
