Acts upstream of or within immunological synapse formation and negative regulation of T cell apoptotic process. Located in cell leading edge. Is expressed in central nervous system; retina; and thymus primordium. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in atopic dermatitis; bacterial infectious disease; hyper IgE recurrent infection syndrome 2; immune dysregulation-polyendocrinopathy-enteropathy-X-linked syndrome; and viral infectious disease (multiple).
