Acts upstream of or within cellular protein localization. Located in membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; heart; sensory organ; and skeleton. Used to study megalencephalic leukoencephalopathy with subcortical cysts. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in megalencephalic leukoencephalopathy with subcortical cysts 2A and megalencephalic leukoencephalopathy with subcortical cysts 2B.
