Involved in cerebellar Purkinje cell differentiation; cerebellar granular layer development; and regulation of neuron apoptotic process. Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of apoptotic signaling pathway; negative regulation of neuron apoptotic process; and response to ischemia. Located in Golgi apparatus; endoplasmic reticulum; and membrane raft. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; brain; genitourinary system; immune system; and white fat.
