Involved in positive regulation of histone H3-K9 methylation; regulation of nucleobase-containing compound metabolic process; and telomere organization. Acts upstream of or within cellular response to leukemia inhibitory factor and stem cell population maintenance. Located in chromosome and pronucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including early conceptus; hindgut epithelium; primordial germ cell; reproductive system; and urinary system.
