Involved in cellular protein metabolic process; cellular response to oxidative stress; and regulation of autophagy. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including cellular response to interleukin-4; in utero embryonic development; and regulation of epidermal cell differentiation. Located in actin filament; endoplasmic reticulum; and inclusion body. Part of Cul3-RING ubiquitin ligase complex. Is expressed in eye and limb mesenchyme.
