Acts upstream of or within double-strand break repair via homologous recombination; gamete generation; and homologous chromosome segregation. Located in chromosome; meiotic spindle pole; and nuclear outer membrane. Part of meiotic nuclear membrane microtubule tethering complex. Is expressed in spermatocyte.
