Syt14 - synaptotagmin XIV

This gene encodes a member of the synaptotagmin family. The encoded protein may be involved in membrane trafficking. Disruption of a similar gene in human has been associated with autosomal recessive spinocerebellar ataxia. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2014]
