Acts upstream of or within several processes, including fructose 2,6-bisphosphate metabolic process; negative regulation of catabolic process; and positive regulation of cardiac muscle cell apoptotic process. Located in mitochondrion. Is expressed in brain; immune system; and liver. Orthologous to human TIGAR (TP53 induced glycolysis regulatory phosphatase).
