Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of apoptotic process; negative regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II; and neuron differentiation. Predicted to be active in cytoplasm and nucleus. Biomarker of acute necrotizing pancreatitis and brain ischemia. Orthologous to human BTG2 (BTG anti-proliferation factor 2).
