Acts upstream of or within several processes, including axonogenesis; ephrin receptor signaling pathway; and optic nerve morphogenesis. Located in several cellular components, including axon; filopodium tip; and membrane raft. Is active in glutamatergic synapse. Is expressed in several structures, including 1st branchial arch; brain; lower urinary tract; sensory organ; and vascular system. Orthologous to human EPHB1 (EPH receptor B1).
