Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of intrinsic apoptotic signaling pathway in response to DNA damage by p53 class mediator; positive regulation of neural precursor cell proliferation; and positive regulation of neurogenesis. Located in nucleus. Is expressed in embryo endoderm and olfactory epithelium. Orthologous to human ELL3 (elongation factor for RNA polymerase II 3).
