Located in nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including adenohypophysis; branchial arch; eye; future pituitary; and genitourinary system. Used to study blepharophimosis, ptosis, and epicanthus inversus syndrome. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in blepharophimosis, ptosis, and epicanthus inversus syndrome and primary ovarian insufficiency 3. Orthologous to human FOXL2 (forkhead box L2).
