Enables heparin binding activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to mechanical stimulus; estrous cycle; and maternal process involved in female pregnancy. Located in cell surface and extracellular space. Used to study hypertension and prostate carcinoma. Biomarker of bladder neck obstruction; coronary restenosis; hypertension; prostate cancer; and renal hypertension. Orthologous to human MMP7 (matrix metallopeptidase 7).
