Involved in endocytosis involved in viral entry into host cell and sodium ion transmembrane transport. Located in early endosome membrane; endolysosome; and recycling endosome membrane. Is integral component of membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; brain; cardiovascular system; genitourinary system; and immune system.
