Acts upstream of or within cellular response to cytokine stimulus and cellular response to organic cyclic compound. Located in mitochondrial inner membrane and nucleus. Is active in Schaffer collateral - CA1 synapse; glutamatergic synapse; and postsynaptic density. Used to study several diseases, including duodenal ulcer; hyperuricemia; non-alcoholic fatty liver disease; obesity; and transient cerebral ischemia. Biomarker of colon cancer; colorectal carcinoma; heart disease; and pre-malignant neoplasm.
